Daniel Fish Hatchery

The remote hatchery site is located along the Forty Rod Creek in the lush Green River Valley between the Wind River and Wyoming Ranges in western Wyoming.

The project began as a feasibility study several years prior that established the needs, budget and to carefully choreograph smaller phased projects that would meet the limited funding of the Department as well as advantageous construction cycles of the short summers at the high-elevation site.

Both budget and quick erection time to accommodate the short construction season of the site's high altitude location dictated a pre-engineered structure, all while optimizing the construction schedule for seasonal natural spring water flow fluctuations and fish rearing cycles to be in sync with the overall fish production of the facility.
